Distant Energy work & the COVID-19 pandemic

I am currently offering sliding-scale distant energy work sessions only. Shamanism and reiki are particularly well-suited to distant work.
For distant sessions, I'll text or call (depending if I'm working with a new client or long-standing one, and depending on what the client wants) at the beginning of the session, then you'll settle yourself into a comfortable place, and I'll start working. At the end of the session, I'll leave a voice note, summing up the work that I did and the information that came through.

For the duration of the pandemic, I am offering session on a sliding scale: 45-80$ per session

Energy work

Energy refers to the universal life force energy that runs through everything. Other more familiar terms are qi, chi and prana, terms from the Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine systems. Each of these systems—and many others around the world—recognize the energetic meridians running through our bodies and understand that blockages on this level affect the physical body. Reiki, Qigong and other energy practices nurture positive qi, release energetic blockages, circulate it, use it to cleanse and heal the body, store it, or emit Qi to help heal others.

Energy sessions are hugely transformative and wonderful when going through life transitions. They refresh people who are burned out, ease people out of negative behavior patterns and bring true compassion and joy into life. As well, energy work promotes healing on physical levels and is great for calming the body after sports, mitigating the effects of allopathic medicine, working through chronic illnesses.

In my energy sessions, I integrate shamanism, Reiki, and Qigong techniques to give the most effective sessions I can.

Shamanism
Shamanism is a type of energy healing in which the practitioner journeys, participates in sacred dances, ceremony and pilgramages to sacred places. It is incredibly powerful in helping people moves through difficult times in their lives, move blocks out of their way, heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, and reconnect to their joy. I study with U.S. practitioners and with an indigenous marakaame in Mexico, where my family comes from.

Reiki

Reiki, the Japanese energy work, is a gentle healing modality where the practitioner acts as a conduit for universal energy, passing it on to others. The kanji Ki comes from the Chinese Qi, which means life force or universal energy and Rei, which means sacred so Reiki is the sacred energy of the universe.

A Reiki session is deeply relaxing and restorative and often brings the receiver to a profoundly meditative place. In the session, the fully clothed receiver lies on a massage table and the practitioner holds her hands in a series of positions, either on or just above the receiver’s body, passing the sacred universal energy on to the receiver.

Reiki complements other energy work, medical treatment, athletic pursuits and assists with healing on physical and emotional levels. As with energetic activities such as meditation and Qi Gong, one session is wonderfully positive but the benefits accumulate exponentially with consistent sessions.

Qigong

Qigong is an ancient Chinese health system that integrates physical exercises, breathing exercises, techniques and focused intention to cultivate and move life force energy or qi.

The word Qigong is made up of two Chinese words. Qi, life force energy, and Gong, which means accomplishment, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, Qigong means cultivating energy and is a system practiced for healing and increasing vitality. Within the system are many techniques which blend beautifully with Reiki sessions to promote healing, restore joy and increase vitality.
